How we run it

01 — Thesis

Build it. In public.

Kazakhstan's first hacker house and venture residency, where you build out loud. You ship a product for the global market — and film the journey while you do it. Most founders build in private. Here you build on camera, in English, growing an audience before you even launch.

02 — Format

Three weeks. Two tracks.

One week, remote — meet the cohort, form your team, lock your idea (or find one). Then two weeks building under one roof in Almaty — shipping the product and building in public. It ends with Demo Day in front of investors.

03 — Outcome

Investment and a launchpad.

The real prize isn't a one-time check — it's momentum. The strongest teams get warm intros to investors right after Demo Day, hands-on help applying to leading international accelerators, and a chance to get funded on the spot. A grant from our sponsors comes on top.

04 — Build in public

Go viral while you build.

This isn't a boring dev diary. It's viral content — videos and posts about house life, what you're building, the chaos, the wins, the inside jokes. Two goals: grow a personal brand that follows you everywhere, and pull real users into your product before you even launch. And everyone films — you show up in each other's videos, cross-promote, and push the whole house's reach together. Content-house energy, founder edition. First of its kind in Kazakhstan.

Two Tracks

01 / Pre-stage

Meet. Team up. Get picked.

Remote, one week. Get to know the cohort and mentors, form your team, lock your idea — or find one. This is the selection week: the strongest 10 teams move into the Hacker House. Any stage welcome: idea, prototype, or a working MVP.

02 / Hacker House

Two weeks. One house. One working MVP.

The top 10 teams live and code in a cottage in Almaty for two weeks. Cloud credits, daily standups, mentor sessions, vibecoding workshops with Claude/Cursor, GTM, pitching, fundraising. Ship a real product to real users by Demo Day.

FAQ

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The program is free for participants.

I don't live in Almaty. Can I apply?

The pre-stage runs remote, so you can start from anywhere in Kazakhstan or Central Asia. The Hacker House means coming to Almaty for two weeks.

What if I don't have an idea?

Apply anyway. We help you find and shape one in the first week.

What if I already have a product?

Great. Use Zero House to push your next version, reach a new segment, or take it global — while building in public.

Do I need to register a company first?

No. We recommend registering in AIFC later, and we help with the process, but it's not required to take part.

Does the program take equity?

We take 1% — but only from the 10 teams that join the Hacker House, and only if you raise investment. No round, no obligation. The exact instrument (equity or advisory) is finalized when you raise.

Can I apply solo?

Yes, but teams of 2+ get priority.

Do I really have to make content?

Yes — and not boring updates. Viral videos and posts about house life, what you're building, the fun and the grind. It grows your personal brand and pulls real users into your product. Everyone films and boosts each other's reach. We run workshops and provide the filming setup. We want founders who'll actually show up on camera — not influencers who fake building.
